The UK government offers financial support to make switching to electric vehicles more accessible. As OZEV-authorised installers, we help you navigate these grants, whether you’re a homeowner, landlord, or a business, so that you can reduce costs.
Renters and flat owners
You can get 75% off the cost to buy and install a socket, up to a maximum of £350. You can apply for this grant if you either:
- own and live in a flat
- rent any residential property (this includes properties under the shared ownership scheme)
You must own an eligible vehicle and your home must have its own private off-street parking space.

Households with On-Street Parking
The grant provides electric vehicle (EV) drivers with support towards the costs of the purchase and installation of EV chargepoints at residential properties when also installing a cross-pavement charging solution.
You can get 75% off the cost to buy and install a socket, up to a maximum of £350.

Staff and fleets
The grant provides small and medium-sized businesses money off the cost of installing electric vehicle (EV) chargepoints and supporting infrastructure for their staff and fleet vehicles.
The grant covers 75% of the cost of the work, up to a maximum of £15,000. You can get:
- up to £350 per chargepoint socket installed
- up to £500 per parking space enabled with supporting infrastructure
You can receive up to 5 grants across 5 different sites.

Electric vehicle chargepoint and infrastructure grants for landlords
Grants for landlords to install electric vehicle chargepoints and supporting infrastructure in rental and leasehold properties.
There are two grants you can get for installing chargepoints for electric vehicles at a property you own.
Electric vehicle (EV) chargepoint grant
An EV chargepoint grant gives you money off the cost of installing an electric vehicle chargepoint socket.
You can get 75% off the cost to buy and install a socket, up to a maximum of £350 per socket.
You can receive up to 200 grants a year for residential properties, and a further 100 for commercial properties.
Electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure grant
An EV infrastructure grant gives you money off the cost of wider building and installation work that’s needed to install multiple chargepoint sockets. The work can be for sockets you want to install now and in the future. For example, an EV infrastructure grant can cover things like wiring and posts.You can get 75% off the cost of the work up to a maximum of £30,000. The amount depends on how many parking spaces the work covers.
You can get:
- up to £350 per chargepoint socket installed
- up to £500 per parking space enabled with supporting infrastructure
You can receive up to 30 grants each financial year for installing infrastructure in residential car parks.
You cannot apply for the infrastructure grant if you’re a commercial landlord
